Malpractice viewers have issued a demand to ITV after the Leeds drama's ending Malpractice
ITV's Leeds hospital drama Malpractice ended tonight and viewers are already making demands to ITV and actress Niamh Algar.
Although it's not based on a true story, Niamh has spoken previously how real doctors were consulted on the drama, to try to lend the proceedings a touch of the authentic, even though the characters and plot is made up.Tonight, viewers saw a gripping finale which saw Dr Edwards almost die of a drug overdose as her battle with addiction following an investigation into her practice on the ward pushed her to the very edge.
Before the finale went out, lead actress Niamh Algar put out a message based on the 'distressing' storyline of the series. "Please do not struggle in silence, the following resources are available to help" before listing several websites including Doctors-in-distress.org.uk and talktofrank.com.Now fans are calling for a second series of Malpractice as soon as possible.
