“It was one of those moments when you’re embarrassed to be English”
‘Disturbing’ scenes took place during a Deacon Blue concert at the AO Arena after a fight that saw a man ‘slapped’ was captured on camera.
The couple, both aged 34 and living in Manchester, said a group of around eight people, including three men and five women, ranging in age from early twenties to late forties, entered the gig and immediately began talking loudly over the music before lighting up cigarettes and vapes. It was only when it descended into violence that further members of staff became involved, the couple claim.
They added: "At least eight to ten people including myself went to complain to security and they did absolutely nothing.
