Three people were killed and at least five more were injured when a knifeman 'aimed at people’s necks' during frenzied attack at Solingen diversity festival in Germany
The DJ who was performing at the Solingen Diversity Festival in Germany has explained why he kept playing while a crazed knifeman committed murder at the event.
READ MORE: Heartache as hero, 50s, who died saving young swimmers from sea in Cork is named locally He wrote in a statement shared via Instagram, "Today I played at the 650-year anniversary of my hometown Solingen in Germany, and during my set, security personnel from the city came to me and asked me to please continue playing to avoid causing a mass panic, as there were already people killed by a stabbing attacker. So I kept playing, even though it was incredibly hard."
He added, "What’s happening to this wold… My thought are with all the victims." The musician also added a white heart emoji to the statement, and a further heart in the caption of the post.
