Yes, less than a year after she announced her departure from The Breakfast Show, Doireann will be back on 2FM in a brand new slot.Doireann will be bringing the nation home as she rejoins the station in the Drivetime slot that was previously occupied by The 2 Johnnies.She confirmed the news on social media saying: “SOME NEWS in the form of 2FM DRIVE with Doireann Garrihy. I am so beyond excited to tell you I am BACK.
“Weekdays from 3-6pm on @rte2fm radio is where my heart is, and absence has only made the heart grow fonder. It is an absolute dream come true to have my very own show. I CANNOT WAIT to put my own stamp on it, to rise at a reasonable hour and to be back with you, the listeners. Bring it on.”An all-new Breakfast Show presented by Carl Mullan, Roz Purcell, and Aisling Bonner promises to wake up the nation with a new energy, sharp wit, and unbeatable soundtrack.
As the day turns to evening, Doireann Garrihy will take the listeners home, offering the hottest tracks, entertainment updates, and feel-good vibes to power the evening commute.he weekend schedule is reinvigorated with the addition of four new presenters, including Benny Bracken, Helen Galgey, Mikey O’Reilly and presenting from our Cork studios, Demi Issac who have all been selected from an expressions of interest competition which ran across the station last autumn.
