Donal Banished from 'The Traitors': The Toll of Paranoia and Tension
The Traitors, Donal, Banishment

Contestant Donal opens up about the intense emotional pressure of being suspected as a Traitor, leading to his eventual banishment. He describes a toxic environment where trust is shattered, and the psychological strain becomes unbearable.

After weeks of being accused of being a Traitor, Donal was finally banished from the castle. On Monday night, he stood up and informed his fellow contestants that he was a Faithful, meaning they had banished another Faithful.

He had come under scrutiny since day one. And he tells VIP Magazine that it was "very tough" to deal with during his time there.

"I obviously made a slip-up in that first mission. That was just me being me and kind of being naive.

" However, he confesses: "I didn't think it was going to go as heavy as it did. You can see what it does to people where you get a little bit of tension at the round table.

"On the following day, when you come in, it's really tough to hold yourself, especially when you're walking in and you know no one trusts you. It's like this awkward thing of nearly being back at school after falling out with everyone. Yeah, it's really intense.

" He confesses that he didn't expect to make it through the show as long as he did, making it to episode eight out of 12. "I did well to get through that for so long. I was kind of coming out the other end, and then the chaotic thing happened. I think that's why the emotion showed.

"It was a week or two of just tension being pushed down, and then it just all came out in one go. Other people found it tough. You see Aoife and David and all these people, it's really tough to hold yourself. I thought I did a good job until, obviously, the end.
