After being banned from mainstream social media platforms following the deadly 2021 Capitol riots, Mr Trump has been using his own, much smaller site, Truth Social.
Donald Trump's Facebook and Instagram accounts will be reinstated after a two-year suspension following the 6 January insurrection.said in a blog post on Wednesday it would be adding"new guardrails" to ensure there are no"repeat offenders" who violate its rules.
Responding to Meta's decision, the former US president said:"FACEBOOK, which has lost billions of dollars in value since 'deplatforming' your favourite president, me, has just announced that they are reinstating my account.
