'A new low in American politics', according to Donald Trump
Last week was quite an important one in the world of American politics and their foreign policy.
In the country, Donald Trump's former lawyer Michael Cohen called the president of the United States a 'racist', a 'con man' and a 'cheat' under oath in a hearing in front of congress. While that was going on, Donald Trump was over in North Korea as part of a nuclear summit, as he met with Kim Jong-un in an attempt to convince the North Korean dictator to make concessions the U.S. had requested.He has now explained how outraged he is that such an important hearing took place while he was out of the country, and how it had a negative effect on his meeting with Kim.
Trump took to Twitter to describe the incident as"a new low in American politics", while also saying that they could have held it a few days later and had more time to prepare. For the Democrats to interview in open hearings a convicted liar & fraudster, at the same time as the very important Nuclear Summit with North Korea, is perhaps a new low in American politics and may have contributed to the “walk.” Never done when a president is overseas. Shame!
