Shocking comments have emerged by first-term Senator J.D. Vance, who has just been selected as Donald Trump's vice-presidential running mate. In a speech, he labelled the UK as the world's first "Islamist country" with nuclear arms.
Key British politicians are currently stateside this week, attending the Republican convention in Milwaukee. Notable mentions include former PM Liz Truss and new MP Nigel Farage. Speaking at the National Conservatism conference, aspiring Vice-presidential candidate Vance stated: "By the way, I have to beat up on the UK for one additional thing. I was talking with a friend recently and we were talking about one of the big dangers in the world of course is nuclear proliferation, and of course the Biden administration doesn't care about it."
