The government has been accused of “sitting on” a report into Ireland’s handling of the pandemic, as high-level discussions continue over a potential inquiry into senior decision-making during Covid-19

A group chaired by former UCD president Hugh Brady was established in January last year to identify lessons from the public health response to the pandemic. It was reported last October that the group’s findings had been submitted to Stephen Donnelly, the Minister for Health.
