But just as fans began to get excited about seeing more of Phoenix as Joker, these reports were dismissed byDeadline said that"at this point there are no deals for a sequel, nor even any negotiations with director Todd Phillips or his co-writer Scott Silver to craft one." They continued to rubbish the other claims made by The Hollywood Reporter, saying that"Phillips doesn’t want to follow Joker by overseeing other DC character films."It's hard to know who to believe here.
