The program offers primary care doctors a model to incorporate in their practices.

Providing parents with information about the importance of reading aloud to their children at well-child visits for ages 6 months to 5 years.Offering gently used books in waiting areas for all children to take home and keep. The book drive is collecting developmentally appropriate books for children of all ages. Board books are needed most, according to Akron Children’s Hospital.Used books must be printed after 2010 and be fully intact, with no missing covers or pages.No textbooks, coloring books or activity books will be accepted.
