All-Ireland club SFC semi-final clash postponed to next Saturday due to weather conditions. Other fixtures scheduled to proceed.
The All-Ireland club SFC semi-final between Dr Crokes and Errigal Ciarán has been postponed due to weather conditions. A pitch inspection at O'Moore Park in Portlaoise this morning decided to reschedule the Sunday afternoon fixture to next Saturday at the same venue. The other SFC semi-final between Cuala and Coolera-Strandhill is still scheduled to take place tomorrow at Kingspan Breffni Park.
Both intermediate club semi-finals are also expected to proceed this afternoon after pitch inspections at Parnell Park and Glennon Park. GAA bosses are monitoring the weather situation for several fixtures over the weekend, as a cold snap is expected to continue into next week. Met Éireann issued a 24-hour orange snow and ice warning for eight counties from 5pm on Saturday, including Carlow, Kilkenny, Wicklow, Clare, Limerick, Offaly, Laois, and Tipperary. There is also an orange rain and snow warning in place for Cork, Kerry, and Waterford within the same timeframe
