BANGI: Give the government a bit more time to fulfil all of its election promises, says Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad.
The Prime Minister said it was not enough to judge Pakatan Harapan's performance just within the period of one year."However, we have fulfilled 39% of our pledges and the rest will take some time," he told reporters briefly at the breaking-of-fast event at the Malaysian Islamic Welfare Organisation here on Friday .
On Thursday , the Prime Minister presented Pakatan's"report card" for its first year in power, highlighting what the government had achieved so far. "This performance is measured based on the ongoing status of 464 initiatives, which are policies and specific actions that are stated in each election pledge," said Dr Mahathir in his special address in conjunction with the Pakatan government's first anniversary on Thursday.
The Pakatan government's approval rating had fallen from 79% to 39% in 10 months, according to research firm Merdeka Centre.
