ossibly the most common condition you have never thought of, endometriosis affects about two million women in the UK, often takes years to diagnose and causes symptoms ranging from pain to infertility. Hundreds of thousands of women in the UK are thought to be suffering unnecessarily because they are missing out on treatment, prompting the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence to produce new guidance designed to help doctors to spot the condition earlier and manage it better.
