Gardaí are appealing for witnesses after a man, aged in his 20s, who was rushed to University Hospital Galway for treatment of serious injuries following a collision on Friday, passed away in hospital
A man involved in a serious road collision in Galway on Friday has died after fighting for his life in hospital over the weekend.
The male driver of the car, aged in his 20s, was conveyed to University Hospital Galway for treatment of serious injuries. On Monday, Gardaí confirmed the driver had passed away.READ MORE: Gardai investigating as man killed after vehicle leaves road A Garda spokesperson said: “Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to this incident to come forward. Additionally, they are requesting those with camera footage, including motorists with dashcam, who were travelling in the area of Ballintava, Dunmore, Co. Galway on Friday 18 October between 1.30am and 2.30am, to make it available to investigating Gardaí.
