A suspected hit-and-run driver who Philly police say intentionally ran down a man outside of a bar in the Northeast will face several charges, including third-degree murder:

Frederick Falcon, who lives a little more than a mile from the bar, will be charged with third-degree murder, involuntary manslaughter, homicide by vehicle and related offenses. The 22-year-old turned himself into police around 9 a.m. Tuesday morning.

Falcon is accused of purposefully hitting 24-year-old Jason Corona with his car in front of Union Tap on Comly Road just off of the Roosevelt Boulevard around 2 a.m. Sunday. Investigators said two men were tossed out of the bar after a fight. The two grew confrontational through the course of the night, according to Philadelphia Police Deputy Commissioner Frank Vanore, and detectives are looking into whether it stemmed from Corona's sister shunning advances from Falcon.Sign up for NBC Philadelphia newsletters.

Once the men were outside, Falcon got into his vehicle, circled around and struck Corona, investigators said. Police said Corona, who's from Fredericksburg, Virginia, died at the hospital a short time later. He had been in Philadelphia with family celebrating the return of a relative from military deployment, according to Vanore.
