Jaiden Martin, 18, can be seen riding onto the opposite side of the road at high speeds
This is the moment a teenage lad on a scrambler bike overtook a car during a police chase through Stockport.
Manchester Crown Court previously heard that both bikes got up to speeds of 60mph and narrowly avoided colliding into other vehicles. Martin managed to manoeuvre the bike down the footpath, which was only open to pedestrians. The officers were quickly directed to a house nearby where they found the motorbike at the back and Martin was arrested inside.
"On the day in question his bike had been collected by a man in a van and taken to a field in Stockport where he and his friend, who share the same hobby, rode the bike for the entirety of the day," she said. Sentencing him, Recorder Geoffrey Lowe said: "This motorcycle is not supposed to be driven on the roads. You chose, in the spur of the moment, to put yourself and members of the public in grave danger.
