Green-fingered driver stopped by police with lawnmower and strimmer hanging out of their boot
Traffic cops pulled over a driver with a 'dangerous' load of gardening equipment hanging out of the boot of their car. GMP Traffic tweeted a picture of the car with a petrol lawnmower, strimmer, yard brush and other equipment crammed into its small boot.
The 'dangerous and insecure' load was too big to fit, with the handle of the lawnmower overhanging the rear bumper. Police say the car was 'prohibited' until the load was secured and the driver was reported for traffic offences. No further details of the incident have been disclosed. GMP Traffic tweeted: "If you’re going to be transporting gardening equipment make sure you secure it correctly! The driver of this vehicle was stopped by #ME51 and didn’t see how his insecure load was dangerous. Vehicle prohibited until load secured and driver reported."
