Prices are guaranteed to rise from the 1st of June as the phased restoration of excise rates will come into effect. This will lead to an increase of 6c per litre on petrol and 5c per litre and from the 1st of September there will be an increase of 7c per litre of petrol and 5c per litre of diesel. The excise rates were expected to be restored earlier this year but the government revealed as part of the spring cost of living package that they would be restoring them on a phased basis from the 1st of June.
