A DRUNK driver who was almost four times over the legal limit has blamed her juice-only diet for a drunken car crash.

Gaynor Godwin, 41, was recorded as having 130mcg of alcohol per 100ml of breath - far above the legal limit of 35.Ms Godwin, 41, blamed her juice-only diet for being almost four times the legal limitMs Godwin, who works as a mobile hair stylist, claimed to have only had two wine spritzers at after-work drinks at a local Wetherspoons.

She made the excuse to police as they interviewed her after she crashed her white BMW into another car after leaving the pub. Defending her in court, Nick Ferrari offered up her recent juice diet as mitigation, saying: "She had for some weeks before been blending fruit and vegetables and had not been eating properly.The cops attending the scene of the crash noted that she was "incomprehensible" when they interviewed her.

Godwin and her two female passengers were unharmed but the driver of the other car was injured and taken to hospital.
