People are not going to be one bit happy about this change
Dublin Airport has been given approval for new plans which see drivers be charged a toll for dropping off and collecting passengers.
The controversial tolling systems for motorists had been opposed by local independent councillor, Joe Newman.However plans will now go ahead and will include alterations to the current routes to and from the Terminal 1 and Terminal 2 buildings. The Irish Mirror reports that, consultants for DAA said the plans were designed to reduce the number of passengers using private vehicles for drop-off and pick-up and to encourage the greater use of public transport as well as making more efficient use of the airport’s road network.
