Full-time drivers can expect a weekly wage of €864.95, increasing to €1,001.48 over a six-year pay scale. This includes a 5-day week, shift premiums, and Sunday supplements. During the initial bus driver training program, weekly earnings are €701.31.
Dublin Bus provides extensive support to its drivers, including initial training, ongoing development, and periodic CPC (Certificate of Professional Competence) training. In addition to a generous salary, permanent employees enjoy a range of benefits, such as a company pension scheme or a PRSA pension scheme, subsidized medical coverage, free bus travel, and concessionary rail travel.To be eligible for the full-time position, applicants must possess a car license or a bus license and demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills and fluency in English. Dublin Bus also offers part-time driving opportunities with a competitive hourly rate of €22.17. Part-time drivers work a minimum of two days per week, including every Sunday and one additional weekday based on operational needs. After a six-month probationary period, part-time drivers are eligible for the same benefits package as full-time employees.
