The Dublin City Half Marathon is launching on March 30th, welcoming runners of all abilities to participate in a thrilling 13.1-mile race through Dublin's iconic landmarks.

Entries are now open for the new Dublin City Half Marathon that takes place on Sunday, March 30. Following the huge success of the capital's marathon in recent years, the new event is organised by the team behind the Irish Life Dublin Marathon and Race Series, in partnership with Dublin City Council, the official event partner. The 13.1 mile race is due to start on O'Connell Street at 8.

30am and the course will take runners out of the north of the city and then finishing back in the city centre - subject to approval, it is set to bring participants through Ballybough, Whitehall, Killester, Howth Road, Raheny, St Anne's Park, Clontarf, Fairview Park and Seville Place. It will welcome runners of all abilities, from beginners to experienced athletes. The mission is to create a vibrant racing experience that celebrates the runners, the city of Dublin, and its people. The theme is: 'Run Together – Thrive Together.' Entries are open on the event website, www.dublincityhalfmarathon.ie. The entry fee is €68 and that includes a finisher's t-shirt, a medal and the postage of race numbers. This event is subject to statutory agency approval. There is a €13,500 prize fund available for the top five finishers in both male and female categories. Additionally, prize funds are available for wheelchair and visually impaired winners, as well as for master categories and a non-binary category. There is a no refund policy in place but there will be a transfer window from Tuesday, February 21, to Sunday, March 9. Entrants who opt for this will be charged €5 to cover the administration of the refund. Selling or attempting to swap race numbers outside of the transfer window will result in the number being cancelled
