Fireworks can be dangerous to those using them and those around them
Dublin Fire Brigade have issued a stark and urgent warning to anyone planning to use fireworks over the coming weeks as Halloween approaches.
Thankfully the blaze was brought under control without any injuries, but the incident prompted the fire service to issue a warning to those planning to use fireworks during the spooky season.Taking to social media Dublin Fire Brigade urged people to be aware that fireworks are not only dangerous to those using them, but they can also cause fires like the one that occurred at Spencer Dock.
"Fireworks are not only dangerous to the person with a risk of severe injury but can cause fires like this." The shocking incident was caught on camera in Newcastle West and prompted local publican Gearoid Whelan, proprietor of Whelan’s Bar which is located in the town, to speak out about anti-social behaviour in the area.
