Firefighters rushed to the blaze over the weekend after the rubbish fire spread to a gas mains
Dublin Fire Brigade sprung into action over the weekend to quench a rubbish fire that had spread to a nearby gas mains on Friday night.
“A rubbish fire spread to a nearby gas mains last night,” A post on the Dublin Fire Brigade X page said. Meanwhile, firefighters from Finglas, Swords and Phibsborough fire stations were rushed to the scene of a derelict house fire off the R130 near Thornton Hall earlier this week, rushing to stop the blaze from spreading beyond the building.
“Firefighters from Finglas, Swords and Phibsborough fire stations were called this week to a derelict house fire off the R130 near Thornton Hall,” a Dublin Fire Brigade spokesperson said in another post.
