A Dublin property management company has been ordered to pay €40,000 to a former employee who was fired after she informed them of her pregnancy.
Ms Vuletic also stated she was given a consistent amount of work at all times, even after there had been a change of ownership in September 2022. However, she claimed her employment was terminated on February 3, 2023 after she told her employer a week earlier that she was pregnant. The company did not attend a hearing at the WRC to respond to the complaint that it had breached the Employment Equality Act 1998, despite being put on notice that it was taking place.
