The popular inner city pub currently sells a pint of the black stuff for just €4.50 - making it one of the cheapest places to buy a pint of Guinness in Dublin
A Dublin pub has vowed to keep the cost of a pint of Guinness at under €5 despite the recent price hike announced by brewer Diageo.
Diageo blamed rising input costs across all its operations in Ireland despite energy costs and inflation decreasing in recent months. Co-owner Declan Hallissey admits that the latest price hike by Diageo means they'll likely have to increase the cost of a pint, but the long-serving publican has vowed that the price of a Guinness won't exceed €5.
Mr Hallissey said that they also get a lot of passing trade as the pub opens at 10.30am on weekdays when others in the area don’t open until 4pm or 5pm.
