The Irish post-shoegaze outfit chatted with the Irish Mirror ahead of taking to the stage at Belfast's Ulster Hall and Dublin's 3Olympia Theatre supporting The Brian Jonestown Massacre
Irish post-shoegaze outfit Sun Mahshene are gearing up for two of their biggest shows to date in just a few days.
“There was an album previously scheduled for release, which, at the time, again, it was going to be all self released,” vocalist and guitarist Nathan Henderson told the Irish Mirror. “It's been a bit of a long road to get to the debut, actual debut album, but I think I'm glad this is our official debut album compared to what was going to be released.
“Then those demos have been taken down, so some of those videos are still on YouTube, so the only way you can hear certain songs from the really early days are through these fan-made videos on YouTube, which is kind of cool. “And I was like, ‘Okay, I knew the Dandy Warhols, but I was like, Okay, I’ll check it out.’ And by the end, it was like, Who is this band? I need to know more!
