Dublin will welcome over 50,000 visitors for Fáilte Ireland's New Year's Festival Dublin 2024, featuring free and ticketed events across the city.

More than 50,000 people are expected to descend upon Dublin city next week ahead of New Year's Eve. Fáilte Ireland ’s three-day New Year’s Festival Dublin 2024 returns next week with a host of free and ticketed events taking place across the county. Over 50 acts are set to play across three-day festival in multiple city centre and county locations. This year’s festival is expected to attract over 50,000 domestic and international visitors to the capital city.

Speaking ahead of the festival, Director of Product Development at Fáilte Ireland Orla Carroll said: “Fáilte Ireland’s New Year’s Festival Dublin returns next week with a fantastic line up of both free and ticketed events for the whole family to enjoy. 'A flagship event in Fáilte Ireland’s Winter in Dublin programme, festivals like NYF Dublin are an important part of the Irish tourism offering and essential for supporting local businesses and communities, especially during the shoulder season. This year, we’re expecting to welcome over 50,000 local, domestic and international visitors to Dublin City. Along with our partners in the Office of Public Works, Fingal County Council and Dun Laoghaire-Rathdown Council, we encourage everyone to enjoy this spectacular three-day celebration as we ring in the New Year in Dublin.” New Year’s Festival Dublin will take place from December 30 until January 1 and over 50 acts will perform across three days in iconic Dublin venues including Dublin Castle and Meeting House Square, Temple Bar. Part of Fáilte Ireland’s ‘Winter in Dublin’ programme, the New Year’s Festival aims to establish Dublin as a must-visit destination to celebrate New Year’s Eve and is an important economic driver for tourism businesses during the shoulder season
