Reality TV star Jo Jordan , known for her appearance on the show Dublin Wives , has passed away at the age of 51. RSVP reported that Jo was found deceased by a relative at her home in Ratoath, County Meath, last Thursday. Her family confirmed the sad news, but the cause of death is yet to be released. Funeral arrangements are pending. Jo was a mother of two grown sons.
She gained recognition alongside fellow cast members Virginia Macari, Roz Flanagan, Danielle Meagher, and Lisa Murphy in the TV3 reality show Dublin Wives, which aired for eight episodes in 2012. Notably, Lisa Murphy also passed away last year at the age of 51 after a battle with cancer. Meanwhile, Virginia Macari Smurfit announced yesterday that she is wheelchair-bound in Los Angeles after a serious health scare. She had been hospitalized after a virus entered her spine and brain. Jo was a successful entrepreneur who ran several businesses. She previously experienced a major health scare in 2016 when she suffered a heart attack but made a full recovery. Tributes have been pouring in for the former TV star, including from her co-star Danielle 'Dr Botox' Meagher, who is currently working as a comedian in Los Angeles. Danielle shared, “I heard the news on Saturday and I pulled over my car bawling crying. “I always said we were like TV gold, we brought the country to a standstill as a duo. I hoped when I heard it it was all a bad dream. “She died way too young. I will really miss Jo and my thoughts are for her family at this terrible time.” Dublin Wives premiered in 2012 and, although it only ran for eight episodes, it left a significant mark on Irish pop culture. Originally titled Dublin Housewives, the TV3 series changed its name for the second season at the request of NBC, the owners of the popular 'Real Housewives' franchises. While it was a major hit with viewers, a third season was never produced. At the time, a source told the Independent in 2013, 'No one has heard one way or the other about its re-commissioning. It's the silence on the matter that would prompt me to believe that it won't be coming back.' Unfortunately, Jo didn't look back on her time on Dublin Wives fondly. In 2016, she told the Irish Sun, “I feel like a wreck after the show. I feel like I lost everything from doing that show,' she said. “Everywhere I go, people talk to me about Dublin Wives. It’s left me not trusting anyone. I regret giving away so much about myself.
