Immediately giving Dubois an eight-year, $68-million contract. The deal pays Dubois like a number one center or a very good number two, and he may be that. I’m not sure he has been yet, so there’s certainly some5.1/10. The Dubois trade and contract are big bets for a young team but all things considered, I’m not sure they’re especially strange ones. The big news came off the ice, with both Darryl Sutter and Brad Treliving departing, replaced by internal candidates Ryan Huska as coach and Craig Conroy as GM. In terms of the roster, they tradedranking high on the bizarro-meter last year based on all the big moves they made, this year’s score is largely based on what they didn’t do. With rumors swirling of players wanting out and a major shakeup on the way, Conroy really hasn’t done much at all.5.2/10. A steady summer isn’t the worst thing in the world for a new GM, and firing Sutter obviously helped calm things down. But it sure seemed like the Flames would be busier than they were.A bad team that finally seems to know that it’s bad got even worse.
