“Truthfully, there wouldn’t have been many there had the men’s team not been playing. We weren’t well supported by any means.”“We would go around the stands with buckets making collections and doing cake sales to just fund money for our travelling,” the former footballer said. “To get there was a nightmare. You got a lift to Dublin, got the boat over and it was horrendous travelling,” Paula recalled.
