Dunnes Stores has issued a product recall and has apologised to affected customers. Anyone who has bought an implicated batch is being encouraged to not eat it and return it for a full refund.

The Food Safety Authority of Ireland issued an Allergen Alert on Friday for a specific batch of the supermarket’s Cafe Sol Vegan Chickpea Tikka Wrap.

The affected products have since been removed from shelves and recall notices will be displayed at point-of-sale. A spokesperson for the FSAI said: “Dunnes Stores is recalling the above batch of Cafe Sol Vegan Chickpea Tikka Wrap which was mispacked with southern fried chicken mix. The product contains milk, egg and mustard which are not declared on the list of ingredients. This may make the batch unsafe for customers who are allergic to or intolerant of milk, egg and/or mustard.”Dunnes Stores has advised customers not to eat the product, and instead return it for a full refund.

A separate recall was also issued on Friday for a batch of The Market Stall Chickpea Tikka Wrap, which was sold at Freshways.
