The DVLA has updated its health guidance to make it easier for motorists to declare health conditions
Drivers have been warned that not declaring one of 118 health conditions to could be hit with a fine as high as £1,000.
According to the DVLA, there are 118 medical conditions that the agency needs to made aware of if drivers plan to get behind the wheel. While a medical condition doesn't automatically require a licence surrender, it may need to be handed over in certain situations that are deemed unsafe, the Daily Record reports.Furthermore, if you develop a condition that needs to be declared by the DVLA, you will need to fill in specific forms or questionnaires depending on your condition.
You do not need to tell DVLA if you have had a pacemaker battery change.
