In 2018, Haskins beat out Joe Burrow to be OSU’s starting quarterback. He threw for 4,831 yards and 50 touchdowns against eight interceptions and led the Buckeyes to Big Ten and Rose Bowl championships.
A native of Potomac, Maryland, Haskins originally committed to his home-state Terrapins. But the four-star, top-100 prospect eventually opted to join Urban Meyer’s program in 2016. After one redshirt season and one as a backup to J.T. Barrett, Haskins beat out Burrow — later the 2019 Heisman Trophy winner at LSU — for the Buckeyes’ starting job in the spring of 2018.
