But there has been a warning from DWP
Millions of people across the UK are set to receive a £150 cost of living payment this month. An estimated six million individuals have been told to expect the DWP payment between June 20 and July 4.
This advisory may be due to statistics published in the new ‘Fraud and Error in the benefits system’ report which estimates that £410 million in cost of living payments were overpaid during the 2022/23 financial year. The total UK Government expenditure on cost of living payments last year was £8.4 billion.
