Important information for so many
After enjoying three in May, the next will be at the end of August. But a bank holiday means benefit claimants will see a change in their payments from the Department for Work and Pensions . Claimants should be aware that they will most likely get paid either before or after the bank holiday.
There are four more dates this year that the DWP will make changes to benefit payments. If you are due to receive a benefit payment on a date that falls on a bank holiday, you should be paid on the working day before that date.The next bank holiday is August 28 meaning anyone who is in receipt of benefits will get them on August 25. When it comes to Christmas both December 25 and 26 are bank holiday meaning people will get paid on December 22.
January 1 will be the first bank holiday of 2024, however, anyone in receipt of benefits will be paid on December 29.
