The Department of Works and Pension's Cold Weather Payment scheme comes to an end today following a chilly winter that saw hundreds of thousands of vulnerable people handed extra cash.
Thousands of others were sent either one or two payments over the course of the five months. In Greater Manchester, households in Bolton and Oldham got two payments, while others in the region were eligible for one.
