Jake O’Brien capped his first appearance in an Everton jersey with a goal against Preston.
Jake O’Brien has already lived up to his promise to be effective in both penalty areas - with the Ireland defender’s debut performance for Everton earning him high praise from manager Sean Dyche .
“I’m really pleased for the new lads, of course, Jake and Jesper getting two different kinds of goals, but both good goals.” Dyche said on evertontv.O’Brien came off the bench at half-time and netted from a rasping half-volley in the 60th minute, from the edge of the penalty area. O’Brien finished the campaign with four strikes and two assists in 27 starts for Ligue 1 giants Lyon.
