Obsessive ex-boyfriend jailed for murdering woman in Ealing.
An obsessive ex-boyfriend who stabbed a young woman 40 times in a "ferocious" ambush in west London has been jailed for life and must serve a minimum of 29 years.
Kingston Crown Court heard she had previously ended their relationship to move to London for a new life.Wearing a balaclava and with his hood up, he waited for Ms Jedrkowiak, known as Ania, to finish her shift at a local restaurant before following her and a young man she was close to, Jack Maskell, who witnessed the murder.
The trial heard Akpomedaye used a bizarre cover story for the killing, saying he was a sword performer whose trick had gone wrong.
