Arne Slot has done a hugely impressive job so far, but context matters. He inherited a squad that is full of quality players, with top class back up in most positions. Just look at Caoimhin Kelleher. There are very few teams in Europe where he wouldn't be first choice goalkeeper.
There aren't nine circles of Hell, contrary to popular opinion. The true number is 10, and that final circle is made up of football statisticians.
Simon Mignolet was in goals and the defence was made up of Nathaniel Clyne, Martin Skrtel, Mamadou Sakho and Alberto Moreno.Up front were Philippe Coutinho and Divock Origi. Any talent on the bench? The subs that day were Joe Allen, Jordon Ibe, Kolo Toure, Adam Bogdan, Jerome Sinclair, João Carlos Teixeira and Connor Randall.
I do think that Slot has done well, given how hard it is to follow a managerial giant. There are so many examples of managers struggling in that situation. Following the win over Chelsea, Slot was praising Mohamed Salah for tracking back and defending. Darwin Nunez is grafting far more than he was, he looks a better fit on the team than he did under Klopp.
Curtis Jones is intelligent enough to fit into the role that the Hungarian is supposed to be doing. I think a Liverpool midfield of Alexis Mac Allister, Ryan Gravenberch and Jones would be much more solid - and more potent going forward. But Liverpool have injuries too. Alisson Becker and Diogo Jota would both start if fit, and Harvey Elliott and Federico Chiesa would be options off the bench. None of the four are available.
