Eamonn Holmes takes aim at ex co-stars Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby and says partnership 'is broken fit' after fans' demands
Eamonn Holmes has taken aim at his former co-stars Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby amid continued reports that their friendship is on the brink. The This Morning favourites are reportedly in crisis after reports began to circulate that the pair were 'barely speaking' behind the scenes.
Phillip told The Sun: "As I have said before, Holly is my rock. We’re the best of friends – as always, she is an incredible support on screen, behind the scenes and on the phone. Holly has always been there for me, through thick and thin. And I’ve been there for her." He added: "The last few weeks haven’t been easy for either of us."ITV has confirmed that This Morning will go on as planned on Monday with Phillip and Holly, 42, at the helm.
Continuing, the 63-year-old added: "It's an institution, it will carry on no matter who presents it and anyone can check the viewing figures, there's no difference between whether they present it or anyone else.' Instagram Eamonn's comments come after fans were left issuing their demands to him as he appeared to mock claims he was fighting with Ruth behind closed doors. Holding up a magazine which included the headline 'Ruth fights Eamonn' on Instagram, the TV star captioned the post: "Fights with Ruth? Moi? Who would dare and live to tell the tale? Read all about it."
