Reflecting on his time on EastEnders, Danny explained that it is the right time to move on from the show.“It’s been amazing. It’s been nearly 10 years though, you know? “Maybe it’ll come out at Christmas. When they get it right there ain’t no better show on the television.” “I was blessed with a great role,” he said, “Mick Carter was different, he was an alpha male who wore a pink dressing gown.”Danny continued: “His son came out to him as gay, and he said, ‘It’s alright boy, I’ll give you a cuddle’.Danny's well-loved character Mick has also led the way for other important storylines, too.
