easyJet plane surrounded by police after pilot makes emergency landing
An easyJet plane was 'surrounded by police' on the runway after the pilot made an emergency landing on Wednesday afternoon .
Eyewitnesses told the ECHO that the two passengers left the plane with officers after landing and that there was a large police presence at the scene.The Airbus set off from Liverpool John Lennon Airport at 1.06pm on Wednesday, April 19 but just over two hours into the journey, the flight began circling over Munich before making an emergency landing at 4.19pm Central European Summer Time .
The passenger, who asked to remain anonymous, said: "Just under an hour into the flight the trouble started. Many passengers found it disturbing and felt unsafe with the drama unfolding. Another tweeted: "Please thank the crew of flight U2 3409, who dealt with a very hostile man on board. Calm, professional and managed not to escalate the situation further before our diversion to Munich, and the arrival of the police. Thank you."
