Ed Sheeran has appeared to reference his recent copyright trial over his huge hit Shape of You, addressing how he’s experienced a ‘predicament’ as of late.
’s Royal Albert Hall, transporting the audience back to the early days of his first studio album released over 10 years ago while also raising the roof with his more recent songs.
Speaking to the audience after the performance, he said: ‘I’ve been playing that song just kind of normally as it is, and I was in a sort of predicament recently where people were arguing about songs and scales and stuff like that.’ that the case ‘amounts to a series of tenuous connections and bare assertions contradicted by the contemporaneous documents and the unequivocal evidence of a significant number of relevant witnesses’.
