Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu has spoken for the first time since she retreated from the limelight after her awkward exit from Celebrity Big Brother
Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu has finally broken her silence after suffering a fierce backlash from her appearance on Celebrity Big Brother and refusing to take part in the final.
She went on: "Sometimes in our lowest moments, we learn the most important lessons about ourselves. I hope you don’t think I was selfish for setting boundaries and putting my own needs first last night. I’m fully aware that not everybody will understand my absence, or think it was the right decision to make, but it was the right decision for me."
David Potts was crowned the winner of Celebrity Big Brother on Friday night and was cheered on by fellow ex housemates - minus Ekin Su and Gary Goldsmith, who chose not to appear after his niece Kate Middleton's health update. However, when they panned over to host Lorraine half an hour before her show was due to start, she confirmed that Ekin-Su never arrived. Susanna asked her: "We thought you might have Ekin-Su on." But she told them: "So did I! but alas, no. I don't know, we're trying to find out. She was due to come in right, but no."
