A man and woman in their 80s were left with serious injuries after their car crashed off a bridge near the M50 in Dublin. The incident occurred as they were leaving the motorway at Junction 10, near the Ballymount slip road, causing heavy traffic congestion. The crash is being investigated by authorities, with early images showing a broken barrier at the bridge's edge.
The couple, a man and woman aged in their 80s, were removed from the scene for treatment of serious injuries. The couple are believed to have been driving from Dublin Airport southbound on the M50 when they exited the motorway at Junction 10, near the Ballymount slip road.are investigating the circumstances in which the car appeared to have driven off the bridge at the Ballymount exit on to the traffic below.

The incident happened at about 3.20pm on Wednesday and involved a car in a single-vehicle collision, gardaí said.
