They said the driver fled the scene
A pensioner warned someone could be killed by the hit and run driver who fled through red lights after crashing into his car.
The 69-year-old attempted to run after it but was told by witnesses that it had sped through red lights as it left the scene. Graham’s Ford Kuga has been written off as a result of the damage but the couple thankfully escaped without serious injury.Graham had been out for a family trip to Southport from his home in St Helens and they were planning to stop in Ormskirk for some food.
The retired electrician says all parties were unhurt in the matter but has been unwell in the days after it happened. “We’ve both been ill, but whether it’s connected I don’t know because there’s a bug going around. Friends are saying it’s delayed shock but I don’t know.” Graham thinks it is unlikely that the driver will ever be brought to justice and fears for the potential of another incident. He is also facing increased insurance costs when he loses his no claims bonus.
