Election 2024: Fianna Fáil to increase cost of vapes each year in manifesto
Fianna Fáil will promise to increase the cost of vapes and e-cigarettes every year if the party is returned to government, the Irish Mirror understands.
In Budget 2025, it was announced that excise duty on e-liquids will increase by 50c per ml of e-liquid. In September, Stephen Donnelly received permission to draft laws to ban the sale of disposable vapes in Ireland. The party will also vow to introduce “wide-ranging restrictions” on vaping, including packaging, flavours, point of sale, advertising and a ban on disposable vapes and vaping in the workplace.
