While most electricity customers will have received their first payment by now, with plummeting temperatures on the horizon, many are already wondering when the second payment will be made

The government announced as part of Budget 2025 that every household in Ireland will receive €250 in electricity credits with one €125 payment between 1 November and 31 December 2024.

The second €125 electricity credit will be paid into accounts between 1 January and 28 February 2025. Go to your PAYG meter and input your vend code, this code will add €125 government credit and your €10 top up to your account .
